About Lilani – Founder of Lunari Art
Lilani is a Sri Lankan born British based artist, a poet, a lyricist and a creative individual who founded Lunari Art. Her work bridges visual storytelling, poetic expression, and symbolic healing—offering art not only as aesthetic experience, but as a tool for emotional insight, social reflection, and rediscovering nature.
With a deep reverence for nature and its cycles, Lilani’s primary artistic focus lies in capturing the subtle interplay between environment and emotion. Her paintings often evoke themes of transformation, solitude, and resilience, using layered textures and symbolic motifs to invite reflection. Alongside this, she explores a wide range of styles—from abstract to experimental techniques—allowing her to continuously evolve and challenge conventional boundaries of visual art.
Lilani’s creative practice is also deeply informed by her commitment to social justice and mental health advocacy. She has contributed to nonprofit initiatives including Centerpices and SANE (UK mental health charity), where she supported mental health awareness through emotionally resonant design and creative outreach. Her involvement in other community-based projects reflects a dedication to holistic well-being, supporting and empowering individuals—especially those whose voices are often marginalized or unheard.
Through Lunari Art, Lilani offers:
- Symbolic and emotionally attuned visual art, often inspired by nature, current afairs and personal healing journeys
- Collaborative projects that blend art, poetry and design to support community engagement and legacy-building
- Creative mentorship and outreach, using art as a bridge between personal expression and collective care
Her vision for Lunari Art is to create a sanctuary where art becomes an inspiration, and where every brushstroke carries the possibility of meaning, connection, and transformation.
When shadows lengthen, hues grow dim,
And weary souls find solace grim,
The artist’s heart, a vibrant flame,
Ignites with passion, finds its name.
For in the depths of darkest night,
A canvas waits, bathed in soft light.
The brushstrokes dance, a whispered plea,
To capture beauty, wild and free.
The world may falter, hopes may wane,
But in the artist’s soul, a strain
Of colours bold, a symphony,
A testament to artistry.
Through trials faced, and tears that fall,
The artist’s spirit stands up tall.
For in the struggle, strength is found,
A masterpiece, on hallowed ground.
The harder times, the greatest test,
Unleash the power, put it to the best.
The artist’s soul, a beacon bright,
Illuminates the darkest night.
With every stroke, a story told,
Of resilience, brave and bold.
In times of hardship, art takes flight,
A beacon of hope, shining light.
So raise a brush, and paint anew,
Embrace the darkness, make it true.
For in the hardest times we find,
The artist’s heart, the truest kind.
